Rafael DeLeon (now under name
Rafeal Valentino) recently was
named the principal commercial
model in the Levi’s ‘Go Forth 2012’
print and commercial campaign.
Rafael walked the runway during
the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week,
worked on Bravo’s Chef Roble &
Company and as a lead actor in the
Off-Broadway play “Someone Save
Me Please”. Essence.com recently
included Rafael among the twentyfive newest up and comers in the
entertainment industry.
Jackelyn Lopez is teaching math in
the Upper School at Bullis School,
located in Montgomery County,
Maryland.
Christian Enguillado completed
his Bachelor of Arts degree at the
University of Maryland College
Park in Graphic Design and Studio
Art.
Michael August signed with the
Frontier League’s Washington Wild
Things, a baseball team located
in Washington, PA. The team is a
member of the Frontier League, a
14-team independent professional
baseball league that focuses on
players younger than 30 years old.
Annmarie Young, a graduate of
University of Maryland School of
Engineering, married Kyle Shahan
on October 20, 2012. Annmarie
will finish her Master’s degree in
Engineering Systems Programs in
March 2013.
Rachael Young is an Ensign with
the Navy Reserves and finishes her
Master’s in Foreign Relations at
Texas A&M in May 2013.

Bonnie Thaden is teaching at St.
Mary of the Mills Catholic School
in Laurel, Maryland.

Kalea Selmon was accepted into
the Master of Science in Counseling
program, with a concentration
in School Counseling, at Johns
Hopkins University in Baltimore,
Maryland. Ms. Selmon is a
permanent substitute at BMHS and
Junior class moderator. She also
oversees the Yearbook Club.
Ayjah Thomas, a Senior Political
Science major at Spelman College
in Atlanta, GA, travelled to Cape
Town, South Africa during winter
break to participate in Spelman’s
“Empowering Women For Change”
global study tour. While in South
Africa, Ayjah was immersed in
exploring the identity, culture, and
religious life of the country.
Garrett, a saxophone player, will
graduate in May and will go on to
graduate school.
Nikita Malcolm graduated from
the University of Pittsburgh with a
degree in International Health.

Taylor Dodson is teaching at
St. Ambrose Catholic School in
Cheverly, Maryland.
Vince
Lubetski
received
notification that he was accepted
into the Navy Health Professions
Scholarship
Program.
This
scholarship program will pay for
Vince’s medical school.

Brandon Spriggs and Jasmine
Lawrence are interning at BMHS
this semester. Brandon, a Senior at
Winston-Salem State University, is
an Information Technology major
who will complete his B.S. degree
in May. He is working with the
BMHS IT department, conducting
his internship on campus. Jasmine,
also a Senior at Winston-Salem
State University, is an Exercise
Science major, who is performing
her clinical experience with Ms.
Jessica Nash, MS, LAT, ATC,
NASM-CES in the Sports Medicine
and Athletic Training departments.
Jasmine will graduate in May.
Meghan Prinkey, a graduate of the
U.S. Air Force Academy, is engaged.
Her fiancée, and fellow USAFA
graduate, John, is from New York
and is a cyber communications
officer in the Air Force, soon to be
stationed at Joint Base Andrews.
They hope to set their wedding date
in October. Meghan continues to
work on her Master’s at MIT.
