The TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT CENTER is Stevenson University ’ s technology helpdesk , offering free assistance to all students .

TECH TIPS FOR NEW STUDENTS
• Your Single Sign-On account provides access to numerous campus services including Email , the SUNow Portal , MyAccount password management , Self Service , and Blackboard . Information on how to set up and access your account will be sent to the external email address on file from your application .
• WiFi is available throughout all academic , residence , and administrative buildings , as well as in all interior and exterior common gathering areas .
• Stevenson offers $ 15 of free printing each month with the ability to submit your print jobs from your personal computer using “ WebPrint ”.
• A Microsoft Office 365 account is provided to all students that includes an option to download and install the Microsoft Office applications on personal computers . A full 1 terabyte of storage is offered on Microsoft OneDrive .
• While most services and web-based applications work on Chromebooks , not all academic applications are designed for that platform .
• Desktop workstations ( Windows and Macs ) located in numerous labs and classrooms are available to all students who need them to complete any academic work .
• The recommended mobile app for accessing your email is the free Microsoft Outlook app , available from the app store for your device .
• If you should need technology support , please contact the Helpdesk at ext . 3000 or helpdesk @ stevenson . edu so we can assist in the resolution of your issue .
• If planning a new computer purchase , we recommend a PC or Mac with 16 GB of RAM , built-in camera / microphone , and running the latest version of the platform ’ s operating system . Chromebooks are limited devices and may not work with all services and academic applications .
• Computer repair services can be found at several local businesses . Damage coverage insurance for your laptop is highly recommended .
• We recommend having a spare laptop charger to help ensure your personal computer is fully charged as you move around the campus .
