MPA events are starting again
The Midwest Polka Association ( MPA ) is eager to get back to dancing . Everyone is welcome to attend its “ first ” event of the year listed below . It ’ s an outdoors event which is a safety factor .
The MPA Potluck Picnic Bash will start at noon Sunday , July 11 at the Aquatore Park Pavilion in Blaine . It ’ s a fun “ eat and dance event .” Free for members and guests .
Bring a dish to share – everyone loves home cooking , so show off your culinary skills . Bring a serving utensil , if needed .
The MPA provides Polish sausage and hot dogs , and the traditional root beer floats . Also provided are paper plates and eating utensils .
Dance on the smooth concrete floor in the pavilion after eating . Musicians , bring your instruments so you can jam .
Although there are picnic tables for seating , you may also wish to bring a lawn chair .
Directions : The entrance to Aquatore Park is off of Central Avenue ( Hwy . 65 ), west of 93rd Avenue . Go west on Clover Leaf Parkway off of Central Avenue . Take a left on Lincoln Street – the street curves around to the pavilion . Upcoming dances
MPA is in the process of scheduling dances for the remainder of the year for the following dates : Sunday Sept . 26 ; Friday evening , Oct . 22 ; Sunday , Nov . 14 , and Sunday , Dec . 5 . Check the website for details .
