A Christmas party took place at Audrey Litzau’s home for the board members and offi - cers of the Polka Lovers Klub of America Minne- sota chapter. Much food, fun, and laughter was enjoyed by all. Audrey does a great job of deco- rating and hosting this fun event. Thank you, Audrey, and helpers. Secretary Terri Ochsner 2109 Quartz Lane Eagan, MN 55122 (612) 203-7754 (651) 681-0291 Terri Ochsner Hello, my dancing friends. I am writing to you today with 8 inches of the white stuff on the ground. This is our fi rst snowstorm of the season; I am sure there will be a lot more to come. I wish everyone a hap- py Thanksgiving, and hope you had a safe one. My husband and I started out in October dancing to Karl Hart- wick and Ryan Herman, Oct. 6. Then, Oct. 13, we danced to George’s Con- certina; and Oct. 20, Leon Olson played for a dance hosted by Minne- sota Ballroom Operators Association. We took a break from dancing to travel down the Rhine River on the Viking cruise ship for seven days, from Oct. 22-29. We went from Amsterdam to Switzer- land, and toured four countries – Netherlands, Germany, France, and Switzerland. We had a wonderful time, and the people were great. I would recommend it for everyone. There was a piano player, who would play every type of music. I said to my husband, “I wonder if he plays polka music.” He did a melody of polkas. We are thinking about doing the cruise again. When we came back Nov. 3, we danced to the Rhythm Playboys; then Nov. 10, we were danc- ing to Jerry and Joyce. On Nov. 17, we danced to Kris and the River- bend Dutchmen. Then, Nov. 24, Harvey Becker and the Riverside Dutch- men. All dances were at the Pla-Mor Ballroom in Glencoe, MN.
