In conversations with Chennai based blues
band-Bluebird’s frontman Jesudasan Rajasekaran

When you first come across Rajasekharan, it is almost impossible to escape his passion for music and his
charismatic face. It is his joyful childlike laughter and innocence that fills the air around him and makes
the sound of his music so honest and pure. A true entertainer, a veteran in the industry, musician-composer, Rajasekharan has thoroughly gone the nine yards in music and is still as passionate and keen to do
more as he was in his younger days.
Born out of Madhurai, Rajasekharan started music at a very early age. Coming from a household of musicians, he says, “My mother was a great soprano singer and a piano player. My dad was an accordion player
and a violinist. My father used to play me a lot of songs on the accordion. So I guess the music was inherent in me.” Further on when asked about how and when he actually realised his interest towards music,
“During my schooling days, it was in my 6th grade that I started picking up songs of all the independent
music groups and artists. In my school, there used to be a broadcasting service where kids with any kind
of talent could go and perform there during the lunch break. So I started by singing a few of my favourite
