lyrics or the tune. Especially
when you understand the
language, you have such a
deep effect on you. You can
lose yourself in poetry and
lyrics. I always felt like in
certain languages like Urdu,
Hindi and Kannada, specific
words are created for just
to be sung. It’s so musical.
When you speak in the
language, it is so beautiful
when you sing them. So I
think when you understand
the language you can emote
very well.
MM: There are singers
who are given only the tune
or the track and they are
made to sing. But so much
is being added later, do you
think it is injustice done to
the singer because singer is
not reacting to the entire
content where they can
give so much. Many things

It’s not like as though you
have to react for the entire
meal immediately. If they
are from the beginning of
the cooking process it would
change the way they look at
it. Obviously when you hear
the final output sometimes
you feel like it would be
great to sing with the string
section or everything. But
I think there is a reason
behind that you are not
meant to sing with that.
Then you would be reacting
to that in the initial process
itself. If the composer wants
he can or may call the singer
and make them sing. It
depends on each song and
each composer.
