Museek Museek Mag Mag Vandana: My debut is a duet with Haricharan was in 2012, I sang this and written by the N beautiful song for GV Muthukumar Sir. Working Prakash, it is what we with GV was very performed at the beginning interesting as I was a of the session and it is called complete new comer at “oru padhi kadhavu” from that point and I was very the movie Thandavam. It scared, timid and nervous. I would just start tearing up if they say something, that was be 5 years ago. Ever since that Imman sir has given me some really really beautiful songs starting from ”Kudamela” from the movie Rummy, “Unna ippo parkanum” from kayal and lot of other songs that have given me a lot of beautiful feedback and appreciation and love from my listeners. Apart from these wonderful composers I have worked with Harris Jayaraj sir, Vijay Antony sir and also got a wonderful opportunity to work with Raja sir last year in 2016 for the film “Amma Kanaku”. In the past 5 years, it’s been a very 10 10 nice journey and a lot of things have happened that am grateful for. I am hoping to work with a lot more composers in the future. MM: What does text does to your Singing? Vandana: I think you cannot have one without the other when it comes to a film song. But of course, you can have instrumental versions alone. When it comes to a song, music and lyrics are closely intertwined, it is a quite a beautiful relationship in fact when you have a favourite song you’d find that it’s not just the tune of the song it is also the words or lyrics of the song you deeply get connected to.
