Singer Srinivas .

need singers at short notice . It took me two years to move to Chennai . By that time , there were walls and huge gates with a security . Rahman became huge by 1993-94 . With great difficulty and waiting , I met him again . But , he was the same person . There was absolutely no change . He greeted me and asked me to come next morning , That ’ s my first recording for Rajiv Menon , who later became my close friend . In those days , he was extremely handsome guy and always visited Rahman ’ s studio . They recorded my voice for a jingle for Anchor Quick Stitch Kits . I still remember it . ( sings ) I remember he really loved the way it came , he asked me to sing like a sax . ( laughs ) It was new for me and it was evergreen . And then he tried me for various things and I became one of his regular . I sang from chorus singer to a track singer to a lead singer . I sang for many of his hit numbers . And now I am supervising the vocals in his studio and I also composed independently . So , it ’ s been a great journey for me when I look back .
