Clara Heebner and her husband, Merv, felt a call to global missions after attending a few OMS conferences. After a trip to Haiti, they joined OMS full-time. They served for two years in Calgary, Canada, where they opened OMS’ first regional office in Canada. They later moved to Greenwood, Indiana, where Clara served through audio-visuals, hospitality, supplies, and administration at OMS World Headquarters. During their last two years with OMS, they served as liaisons to New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, the British Isles, and
Canada. Clara served with OMS for 27½ years.
Wilma Jacob received a call to missions at an OMS conference with her husband, Howard. The Jacobs became OMS missionaries and served as regional directors in the northeast United States from 1964 to 1988 and in the southeast from 1988 to 1990, continuing in extended missionary service until 1994. They had a passion to see the ripe harvest fields filled with OMS missionaries. They also helped missionaries on home assignment and new candidates with funding. Whenever and wherever the Jacobs could share a mission message or their gift of music, they did so for God’ s glory.
Nathan Krampitz and his wife, Fern, felt the Lord calling them into missions while they were in college. In 1961, they applied to and were accepted by OMS. They arrived in India in October 1962 at the Allahabad Bible Seminary, where Nathan served in various roles, including professor, business manager, and principal for 12 years. He also led many campus construction projects. Nathan later taught English and a missionsrelated class at Seoul Theological University in Seoul, Korea. After retiring in 1999, he continued volunteering in various capacities. He was a wonderful example of a servant leader to all who knew him.
