In 2025, several OMS missionaries were promoted to glory. We now honor and remember those who served with distinction for 10 years or more.
Patricia“ Patty” Collins sensed a call to missions in 1987 and joined OMS, spending a year in Madrid, Spain, teaching missionary kids. She and her husband, Ron, served with OMS through the CoMission for six years, beginning in 1992. One of Patty’ s most significant roles came in 2001 when she coordinated OMS’ 100 th anniversary celebration. The Collinses joined OMS full-time in 2003, using their talents for God’ s kingdom. Since then, Patty coordinated OMS events, including helping plan the upcoming 125 th anniversary celebration; coached missionaries in fundraising; served on the Development team; and led the OMS gratitude team.
Florence“ Flo” Epp began serving with OMS Canada as a secretary and bookkeeper for the Western Canada regional director’ s office until God opened the door for her to serve in South Korea. She moved there in 1979 to serve as a bookkeeper and field treasurer and later as the scholarship secretary, a Bible class teacher, and the secretary to the Korea field director from 1984 to 1991. In January 1993, Flo relocated to the OMS World Headquarters in Greenwood, Indiana. She served as the secretary to two OMS Presidents and as corporate secretary of the Board of Trustees until 2014, when she retired after 40 years of faithful service.
Jane Haltom joined a short-term OMS mission trip to Colombia before her senior year of high school. She loved her experience and returned for a second trip during college. In 1978, she and her husband, Doug, felt the continued call to missions. Along with their four daughters, they moved their family to Spain. During their six years of service, they served in field finances and administration, child evangelism, and church planting. After resigning in 1984, they rejoined OMS in 1988, and Jane worked in administration at the OMS World Headquarters, assisting several leaders until she returned to teaching in 1995.
