Round Two Preview MUGC Lions v Ballarat Falcons: Fresh off their win the Falcons will be full of confidence however the Lions should prove to be a stern test. Looking for their first win expect the Lions to come out fast in this clash. Kick off: 1:30pm @ Maryvale Reserve, Morwell MUGC Royals v Bendigo Dragons: This game will be a cracker. Both teams lost after a great showing in round 1 and will be looking to bounce back and get that first win on the board. Kick off: 10:30am @ LE Cotchin Reserve, Massey Avenue, Reservoir. Division 1: Northern Raiders v South Eastern Predators: The Raiders will be keen to show they can hold their own in the new GV format and will want to impress in front of a home crowd. The Predators will be looking to keep their strong defensive start and get some points on the board through their offence. Should be a physical game. Kick off: 1:30pm @ LE Cotchin Reserve, Massey Avenue, Reservoir. Monash Barbarians v Geelong Buccaneers: Having just played the Warriors the Buccaneers will be keen to do the double over the Monash teams. Like the Raiders, the Barbarians will be looking to show the league they can hang with the old ‘Division 1’ sides. Kick off: 10:30am @ Sidney Pargeter Reserve, Endeavour Hills. Berwick Miners v Monash Warriors: Fresh off their last gasp win the Miners will be full of confidence going into this home game. The Warriors will be looking to bounce back after their defeat at the hands of the Buccaneers. This could be game of the round. Kick off: 1:30pm @ Sidney Pargeter Reserve, Endeavour Hills Division 2: Gippsland Gladiators v Pakenham Silverbacks: Gladiators will be kicking themselves for giving up a 14-0 lead against the Falcons in Round One and with it being a home game should have good numbers. The Silverbacks played well in their opening game. If they can get some cohesion on offence they’ll be a very competitive side. This will be a close one. Kick off: 10:30am @ Maryvale Reserve, Morwell.
