Mountain View Firm making dryer for pets
If electric hair dryers are popular for people, why not dogs? That was the reasoning of Bart W. Acker, Jr., a Saratoga man who has formed a Mountain View company around the idea. His pet dryer, called Anadry, works on much the same principle as hair dryers for humans.
A motor-heater unit blows in air through a flexible plastic hose to the container, into which the dog is zippered. Ten minutes does the job, Acker reports.
Acker’ s firm, Nucon( for new concepts) has another product. It’ s an industrial timer invented by John Crane of Mountain View, Acker’ s partner. Nucon is distributing the per dryer through distributors in the U. S. and is field testing units in Europe.
Schultz, a miniature Schnauzer, tests the hair dryer invented by his owner, Bart W. Acker, Jr., of Nucon Co., Mountain View
