What’s new in 2018
See the Olympians train High tech snow grooming
Mt Buller is building on a rich Olympic tradition in
2018 with improved training facilities for the freestyle
and aerial teams including accommodation, indoor and
outdoor training zones. Earthworks to the mogul and
aerial jump site on Chamois ski run will provide better
jumps and a smoother run with less snow needed to
cover the world-class course. Mt Buller is proud to unveil another Aussie first this winter.
SnowSat adds a high-tech element to our grooming fleet
giving the groomers precise data on the snow depth as they
work. This new technology allows more precise grooming
across the runs so each flake of snow is used efficiently
and grooming is only done where and when it is needed.
The bottom line is more corduroy on the slopes and better
coverage for skiers and boarders!
Twilight Sessions Resort upgrades
Launched last winter, Mt Buller’s Twilight Sessions were
a hit on weekends in July and August and are back this
season. From 7 July to 26 August the lights come on from
5pm for guests to ski and board on Bourke Street or hit
the village toboggan slope until 8.30pm. Crackling fires
and live music in the village add to the buzz and there are
plenty of free marshmallows for toasting. Horse Hill Snowplay Park has a new outdoor seating area
so guests can sit and relax at the cafe while the kids get
busy tobogganing. There have been improvements around
the resort including new staircases, footpaths and lighting
to make getting around that bit easier. A number of the
bus stops have had an update and you’ll see a bigger and
better ski rental space in the Ski & Snowboard School
too. It’s all part of continuing to invest and improve in our
beautiful alpine village.
