Will Sperow grew up a farm kid , and if you ’ ve ever met a farm kid , you know they understand the value of hard work and aren ’ t afraid to get their hands dirty to complete a job . They ’ re instilled with a “ get-it-done ” mentality and know that helping others and cultivating a community of equals is at the heart of their purpose . And today , this couldn ’ t be truer for Will and his IT firm , Blue Bay Technology , whose mission is to empower its clients with robust technology solutions to help them make the best decisions possible , both on the technology and business sides of their companies .
IN YOUR ( ENTREPRENEURIAL ) DREAMS
Growing up , Will always had a dream of opening his own business . “ My parents and grandparents sold eggs throughout the county , and we ’ d go with them on Saturdays to deliver the eggs . People would leave their empty cartons on the steps with money in them , and we ’ d leave cartons with fresh eggs . This was my first taste of having a family-owned business ,” recalls Will , adding , “ Honestly , I didn ’ t know any other way .” Although Will ’ s family didn ’ t have much money , they always ensured their community was cared for in any way possible . “ We were constantly helping people . For example , we ’ d deliver eggs to people who didn ’ t have enough money to pay . And we didn ’ t expect them to ; we were just helping our neighbors . So , in this way , giving back was instilled in me as a young child , and that carries on today ,” Will explains .
As Will got older and went off to school , his parents decided to break away from the farm and build a better life for their family . As a result , Will was in high school when his
