Strategic Job Search: Miracle Morning Techniques to Improve Productivity

The Miracle Morning gives you the opportunity to plan, prepare, and train yourself for overcoming procrastination and tackling your job search. It encourages you to start your morning productively.

Chapter 6 of the Miracle Morning specifically addresses Six Practices Guaranteed to Save You from a Life of Unfulfilled Potential called the life S.A.V.E.R.S., an acronym for silence, affirmations, visualization, exercise, reading, and scribing.

Chapter 8 of the Miracle Morning gives you ideas on how to Customize your Miracle Morning to Fit your Lifestyle and Achieve your Biggest Goals and Dreams. I would think maximizing your earning would be a large part of your future goals, right? So, try this: pick up a copy of the Miracle Morning, get up one hour earlier each day and structure your hour like this:

Silence (5 min) Relax, sit and just breathe. In a stressful situation, remaining calm is important.

Affirmations (5 min) Focus on your good worker habits and skills. I am adaptable, I am mission focused.

Visualization (5 min) Spend time picturing the mission you want to complete. Your career goal.

Exercise (20 min) Keep your body in good physical condition for all of the challenges ahead. A good body houses a good mind.

Reading (20 min) Spend time reading job descriptions, industry information, and personal development resources.

Scribing (5 min) Spend time writing about the journey; it will help you identify strengths and challenges.

I challenge you to try something new. If you keep doing the same thing, you’ll always get the same results.

In this hour, focus on tackling everything that you have avoided or fear, like translating your skills, learning a new skill, or networking. My guess is you’ll end up somewhere better than the couch at noon.
