With backgrounds that often include significant experience in advanced technology, former service members are ideal candidates for manufacturing careers and poised to be natural leaders in the manufacturing industry. The Manufacturing Institute prepares these individuals for careers in modern manufacturing and encourages outstanding companies to harness their skills.
Heroes MAKE America is the Manufacturing Institute’s initiative to build connections between the military community and the manufacturing industry. Our signature program, a DoD approved SkillBridge, provides transitioning service members, veterans, National Guard, reservists and military spouses with the skills and certifications to find and excel in manufacturing careers. We offer in-person training at Ft. Riley, KS; Ft. Hood, TX; Ft. Bragg, NC; Ft. Campbell, KY and Ft. Benning, GA as well as online and remote training options. The program is offered at no expense to participants.
As a supplement, Heroes Connect: Military to Manufacturing is our program to facilitate virtual introductions with manufacturers who are hiring today.
