4. If accepted to VCTP, what steps can a participant take to ensure their success?
Stay in touch with their IVMF advisor. The VCTP is unique to other asynchronous, no cost, online programs because the VCTP participants are assigned professional advisors who assist them with any need during their time in the program. The advisors are able to answer a multitude of questions and to point them in the right direction of other essential resources, too. The advisors help participants keep current with the industry standards associated with their certification of choice, and they remind participants of important deadlines related to their coursework and certification exams. Advisors communicate with students via phone and email (and in-person when local to Syracuse), so it’s imperative that participants read the emails and call their advisor back when that communication is received. Additionally, participants should consider their advisor to be their best resource during the program – if they need something, all they have to do is ask, and our advisors do whatever they can to assist.
