Support Services: Operation Phantom Support is a veteran-founded nonprofit that assists active duty military and veterans with day-to-day living. The Bell County Veteran Service Office helps veterans or survivors obtain VA or Texas Veterans Commission benefits. The Killeen Goodwill Learning Center offers a multitude of transitional support services.
Hazelwood Act: A State of TX benefit that provides qualified veterans, spouses and dependents with an education benefit of up to 150 hours of tuition exemption at qualified institutions of higher education. The Fort Hood Area Military Family Member Scholarship Fund serves as a focal point for all family member scholarship activities on and around Fort Hood.
