LinkedIn® Premium Account: Why You Want and (May) Need it

In previous issues, we’ve discussed the importance of having a LinkedIn® profile as well as how to set your profile up for success on this professional networking platform. For some candidates, signing up for a Premium Account on LinkedIn® can afford you additional networking and job search advantages.

Which plan to choose?

Once you opt to sign up for a premium account, you can choose from four different plans:

Land your dream job (Job Seeker)

Grow and nurture your network (Business Plus)

Unlock sales opportunities (Sales Navigator Professional)

Find and hire talent (Recruiter)

For the purpose of advancing your career with LinkedIn®, the first plan should be your choice. After your first free month, this plan is offered at a $29.99/month rate and the option to cancel at any time.

LinkedIn® offers US Military Members and Veterans a FREE one year Job Seeker Account. Visit this link:

Why should you choose a Premium Account?

Direct messaging to recruiters

Unlike a free account, the Job Seeker account allows you to use three InMails per month to contact anyone on LinkedIn® whether you are connected to them or not. InMails give you the option to share your contact information along with a personalized message and information about your needs. Job Seekers receive a response guarantee, meaning that you will receive an InMail credit back if you don’t get a response to your message.
