VETERAN SUCCESS

Did you know CASY was named best in class by the Call of Duty Endowment?

Hiring Challenge: I believe my biggest hiring challenge in the civilian sector was how to translate my skills and accomplishments into civilian terms for them to understand. I also had challenges with my interviewing skills and how to articulate my skillset to hiring managers.

Assistance Received: I was encouraged by a fellow veteran to look up CASY. I researched their website and applied for a position at Queen Associates. Exactly one day after I submitted my resume, I received an email stating that the hiring manager from Queen Associates was interested in completing a phone interview with me. We set up a phone interview and then a face to face interview, and they both went very well. I was informed that

I had the position in a week. If it were not for CASY, I would not be in the position that I am in now with Queen Associates.

Result: With the assistance of CASY, I now have a position as a Service Delivery Coordinator with one of the most recognized professional Informational Technology Staffing firms in America- Queen Associates.

Value of Experience: I am extremely grateful that I was able to connect with a recruiter from CASY that partnered with Queen Associates (Warrior to Workforce) to give me the opportunity to join the civilian workforce after service. The level of professionalism was definitely amazing and the turnaround time was magnificent. I do believe that combined with the skills that I acquired from my time in the military and my education, I was more than equipped to compete with other jobseekers, but CASY helped me to connect to the employer so that I could show just how qualified I was!

Congratulations, Victoria, on your position at Queen Associates!
