Through these training sessions, CASY & MSCCN and NGEN support Guard members and their families who would otherwise not have access to employment resources.
When asked about the importance of NGEN and CASY & MSCCN’s support of the National Guard Bureau, Trosclair explained, “NGEN represents the important work that CASY & MSCCN, the National Guard Bureau, and the States do to ensure our Guard
members and their families are successful in their civilian and service-oriented lives.”
In 2016, the National Guard Bureau also recognized the positive impact of their partnership with CASY & MSCCN. Colonel Rich Baldwin, a Brigade Commander for the Arizona National Guard, and Captain Mike Riley, Section Chief for Army National Guard Transition Services & Employment Outreach at the National Guard Bureau (NGB), presented CASY & MSCCN with the National Guard Minuteman Award for their “unwavering support and dedication to the Soldiers and families of the National Guard.” The award was presented at the quarterly CASY & MSCCN Boards of Directors meeting on February 26, 2016 at Swift Transportation’s headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona.
Upon presenting the award to CASY & MSCCN, Captain Michael Riley of the National Guard Bureau celebrated the partnership, stating, "The Minuteman Award was presented to these organizations to recognize the tremendous work they do every day."
In the words of RADM Dan Kloeppel, USN (ret.), Founder and CEO of CASY & MSCCN, “We are proud to work with the National Guard. Guard members and their families face unique employment challenges, and we at CASY & MSCCN will continue to partner with NGB and the state National Guard Commands to provide employment placement support of our Soldiers and their family members into meaningful careers that are a match for their skills, abilities, and needs."
