The National Guard Bureau (NGB), CASY, & MSCCN began their relationship with a Letter of Need and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in 2011. From their partnership, NGB, CASY, & MSCCN developed the National Guard Employment Network, commonly referred to as NGEN, to provide employment support to National Guard members and their families throughout the nation. The NGEN mission is to improve National Guard force stability by improving its members’ ability to seek, obtain, and retain civilian employment after deployment.
Through NGEN and the NGB, CASY & MSCCN have placed thousands of Guard members into meaningful work, and 2016 has been no exception.
NGEN Manager, Danielle Trosclair traveled the country in 2016 to provide training and to work one on one with States to provide support for their employment needs.
In February, CASY & MSCCN
visited Carson City, NV to conduct onsite training for members of the Nevada Guard Military Family Support Services office, including Family Programs and Work for Warriors branches. Representatives from the Nevada Department of Training, Education, and Rehabilitation were also in attendance. Attendees learned about CASY & MSCCN services, participated in professional development, and received hands-on technology training.
CASY & MSCCN provided similar training in Marietta, Georgia in April of this year. COO Erin Voirol accompanied Danielle Trosclair to provide state-specific support, professional development, and technology training.
