2. What inspired you to do the work you do?
I used to say about my Naval Reserve Career, “I will never turn down a reasonable request” and I didn’t. So in 2009, when the Army Guard asked us to set up CASY to do what Debbie and MSCCN had been doing for Military Spouses for five years, we couldn’t say no.
3. How did you get to where you are today?
Taking advantage of opportunities and God given gifts.
4. How do you define success?
I ask, “Did you take advantage of your opportunities and God given gifts?”
5. What do you hope to accomplish in 2015 and beyond?
We would like to build CASY & MSCCN into legacy not for profits that will continue on long after we are gone.
6. What advice do you have for others who want to forge their own path?
Be honest with yourself about your abilities and capacities. Take advantage of opportunities. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t succeed the first time. Learn from the experience.
