The Veterans Leadership Program provides stipends for job training and education and supportive services for transportation, clothing, and tools for veterans in Western PA – www.vlpwpa.org/services/
The Veteran’s Group provides food, shelter, case management and support services to homeless veterans in the Philadelphia, PA area – www.theveteransgroup.org
Women Veterans Rock – a coalition of women veteran organizations supports women veterans and military families with housing, education, financial stability, health and wellness – www.womenvetsrock.org
If you live in or are headed back to PA, make sure you take advantage of the health services and other benefits you have available to you through the Veterans Administration. Learn more about your benefits at www.eBenefits.va.gov
Visit the PA Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (http://www.dmva.state.pa.us/portal/server.pt/community/dmva_home/5902) where you can learn about State-provided military and veterans benefits, like the Pennsylvania Military Family Relief Assistance Program (MFRAP), which offers financial assistance in the form of grants to eligible PA service members and their families.
We encourage you to take advantage of the resources and assistance these programs provide, and make sure you pass them on to others who can use them. Remember the more programs are used, the more likely they will continue to be available.
