Sunbelt Expo Not just for farmers

Folks from all across the United States and a few from other countries converge each year in Colquitt County to attend the Sunbelt Ag Expo. Since I work for the newspaper, I get to be one of those folks and I look forward to it every year.
Now, in its 47th year, the show draws thousands of visitors during its three-day run. It brings together all areas of agribusiness including farmers, educators, students, policy-makers and, of course, agriculture businesses. All of this, along with the events, food vendors, animals and non-agriculture businesses, creates a country fair kind of feel but one of the most massive country fairs that I’ ve ever been to. I have to admit, I do feel as if I’ ve been let out of school for a couple of days when I’ m there. Being out at the Expo just doesn’ t seem like work to me. So, if you’ ve never been to the Sunbelt Ag Expo, you’ re missing out on an event like no other. Here’ s a little of what to expect.
