The Women ’ s Federated Club of Moultrie holds its annual Martin Luther King Jr . Birthday Celebration at Mother Easter Baptist Church .

community . That ’ s one of the long-term goals of WFC . They will also look for more ways to be active in the community , more than they are now , serving in the soup kitchen and helping those that are in need .
Everyone is invited to work alongside in their community involvement . Their activities and ideas are made public . Becoming a part of the Women ’ s Federated Club of Moultrie is an invitation only to those that , due to their work and their willingness to work , show they have a heart for service .
Wanting to get involved and not knowing where to start can be a daunting task . Jones recommends starting with the Chamber of Commerce because it has a list of all that ’ s going on and a list of contacts , based on what the types of organizations , businesses , nonprofits and churches are in Moultrie . This would be a great starting point , she said .
The Women ’ s Federated Club continues to make strides towards success . They proudly brought the community and people from all around together with their Martin Luther King Program . They cultivated the next generation through the Gems Club , which teaches young girls ’ etiquette , and inspired those young ladies to start a club at the high school .
WFC will continue to have an impact on the community by volunteering at soup kitchens and helping those in need as they did last Christmas . Their impact can be seen in all the organizations they are involved with from the Boys and Girls Club , National Alliance of Mental Illness to being a part of the Chamber of Commerce .
“ I treat my hands and feet as God ’ s hands and feet , tackling each task as I do it unto God ,” said Jones .
