Which flowers can you grow in direct sunlight ?

All flower species have specific sunlight requirements . For example , too little or too much light can delay blooms or cause premature death . Do you have a bright , sunny patch in your yard and want to show it off with a flash of colorful flowers ? Here are some tips and suggestions to guide your selection .

Critical criteria The species you choose must be suited to the space where you want them to grow . They must be able to handle direct and prolonged sunlight or at least be able to tolerate it . It ’ s also important to account for other criteria , such as the plant ’ s water needs , ideal soil type and the hardiness zone you live in .
