“ There was a lot of juggling required— figuring out how is my cake not going to move? Am I going to build the entire cake before? Or am I going to take it piece by piece and assemble it there?” Kelli explains.
While wedding cakes once dominated her portfolio, the evolution of her career soon led her to explore a wider array of pastry delights. Today, Kelli’ s work spans events beyond the wedding scene— from corporate gatherings at regional events and hospital celebrations to intimate birthday treats.
“ I’ m getting out and meeting people again, after being cooped up during the pandemic,” she notes with a smile.“ There’ s nothing quite like the joy of creating something that not only tastes amazing but also brightens someone’ s day.”
The techniques honed during those early days, from intricate piping to the artful use of molds and meticulous finishing touches, continue to influence her work on everything from French pastries to innovative dessert presentations.
These mini bridal shower cakes reflect Kelli’ s philosophy that a wedding dessert should be as beautiful as it tastes, offering guests an elegant and memorable bite.
Her seamless ability to merge flavors with artful presentation is a testament to the lasting impact of her wedding cake days— an era that taught her the importance of blending timeless design with modern sensibility.
