“[ The Citi Trends building ] had been vacant for quite a while . It was purchased previously by Downtown Moultrie Tomorrow , and they were considering using that as Moultrie ’ s welcome center . But they ended up getting another building ,” said Whitney , who opened her State Farm agency in early 2022 , just a stone ’ s throw away on South Main Street .
Meanwhile , elsewhere on Main Street , Macie was facing a problem – a good problem to have as a businessowner , but a problem nevertheless . Her women ’ s boutique , The Flossy Peach , flourished rapidly after its 2015 debut online . She moved the store to a South Main Street brick-andmortar location in 2017 , and soon found she needed more space to accommodate her growing inventory and staff of employees .
