National Beef Packing Company of Moultrie has increased its production by adding another line to its workflow , Willis said .
“ That increased jobs in our community , and also increased the tax base for our community as well ,” she explained . “ That ’ s exciting to see a corporate company that ’ s located here continue to grow and expand and provide career opportunities for people .”
Businesses that opened their doors within Downtown Moultrie included State Farm , A-Team Appliance Repair , Southern Savvy Med Spa , Broadleaf Logistics , AMB Wealth , Lightbox Systems , Vickorys Best , and Ann ’ s Medical Scrubs .
More than 30 jobs were created within the downtown area due to the opening of these establishments , Johnson said .
First National Bank of Moultrie held a groundbreaking for a new drive-thru facility , located at the old YMCA site on 24 First St . S . W .
While some owners were preparing for groundbreakings and ribbon cutting , others like Christian Nails , the Flossy Peach and Pentas Wealth Management , focused on renovations and expansions .
