As a stylist , she highly recommends that a bride not come in with greasy hair because it makes the stylist ’ s job harder .

“ We can dirty it up with our own products . Everybody ’ s always heard about dirty hair . But really , it just weighs it down . It flattens it ,” she said .
When it comes to washing her hair , a bride needs to do it either
Tomlinson said the current trend in wedding hairstyles is loose , wavy and effortless like it just got put up .

She said that you can wash it and then turn on the cold water and let it run through it for a bit .
“ The golden rule for hair color before the wedding is two weeks prior ,” she said . “ You just don ’ t want to dye a new hair color before your day .”
Another thing that should not be done less than two weeks before the wedding is getting the haircut because your hair kind of goes into shock at first and needs some time to be “ lived-in ”.
She also said that you shouldn ’ t do a deep conditioning treatment sooner than three days before your wedding day because it will make your hair heavy , which makes it difficult for a stylist to work with .
Another no-no is going to sleep with a wet , messy bun the night before the wedding because it puts crimps in the hair that are hard to get out even with a straightener .
Tomlinson says that when a bride makes an appointment with a stylist to do her wedding look , she needs to have a “ trial run ” or consultation before the wedding day .
“ I want a consultation . I want to know what they want in their hair . If they ’ re wearing a veil ? Up ? Down ? All that good stuff . Because some of them you curl and it won ’ t even hold a curl ,” she said .
