Cushendall Riding along the road you will come to the village of Cushendall. Like just about every place in you wish to stop on the coast the village is littered with history that match the amazing views. In the centre of the village is Curfew Tower. This lock up was built in 1817 by the landlord to lock up riotous folk... a party is not a party until someone’s in jail! Dan McBride, an army pensioner, was given the job of permanent garrison and was armed with one musket, a bayonet, a brace of pistols and a thirteen-feet-long pike. The tower is now owned by artist Bill Drummond.
