Over the past six years, the success of hosting MotoGP has been reflected not only in the number of spectators at the circuit, but also in the foundation it has laid for the province’ s long-term development. We have witnessed clear progress, including the creation of over 46,000 jobs, the distribution of income to small businesses, local vendors, and communities, as well as improvements to infrastructure— such as increased flight services, upgraded roads and public transportation, and enhanced tourism services and investments to support sustainable growth. pi ya pijnum
welcome
I am pleased to extend a warm welcome to all of you to Buriram Province. As your host, it is a great honor and profound pride for me to open our city to the riders, teams members, media, and most importantly, motorsport fans from around the world who have traveled here to experience the atmosphere of the PT GRAND PRIX OF THAILAND 2026.
This year is more special than ever, as Buriram has once again been entrusted— for the second consecutive year— with hosting both the Pre-Season Test and the season-opening round of MotoGP. This allows all visitors to spend more time getting to know Buriram, recognized as the“ Motorsport Capital of Thailand.” Not only does this bring fans closer to the world’ s top riders, it also helps generate extended economic benefits for the people of Buriram.

These developments have transformed Buriram from simply a sporting city into a globally recognized Sport Tourism City. We have successfully connected the race with all forms of tourism nature, arts, culture, and local lifestyles— to ensure that every visit leaves a truly lasting impression.
Ultimately, I would like to emphasize that ThaiGP is not only a world-class sporting event but also a stage that showcases the capabilities of the people of Buriram— their readiness and their warm-hearted spirit of hospitality. I hope that everyone enjoys the competitions and makes the very best memories during your time with us. I believe Buriram will make you feel as if you are in your second home, and I sincerely hope to welcome you back again every year.
