Alex Marquez progressed through JuniorGP before claiming the title in 2012, earning a full time move to Moto3™ the following season. Race wins soon followed and a consistent 2014 campaign delivered the Moto3™ World Championship. A step up to Moto2™ with Marc VDS proved more demanding, but steady development paid off. Multiple victories in 2016 and 2017 set the stage for a breakthrough year in 2019, where five wins and regular podiums secured his second World Championship.
Promotion to MotoGP™ followed in 2020, where Marquez impressed with back to back second place finishes. Challenging seasons with Honda followed, before a career turning point arrived with a switch to Ducati machinery in 2023. Podiums and Sprint success confirmed renewed form, which accelerated in 2025. Three Grand Prix victories marked a landmark season and placed Marquez firmly among the elite. Entering 2026 on equal machinery to the title favourites, Marquez targets his first MotoGP™ crown.
