Bagnaia graduated to MotoGP™ in 2019 and, after an adaptation phase, moved into the factory Ducati squad in 2021. Rapid progress brought multiple victories and established him as a title contender. A dramatic turnaround in 2022 saw Bagnaia recover a significant points deficit to claim his first MotoGP™ World Championship. He defended the crown in 2023, becoming the first rider in the modern era to do so. Despite a win heavy 2024 season, errors proved costly. After a difficult 2025, Bagnaia enters 2026 focused on resetting and returning to title contention.
