DUCATI WILL BE HARD TO BEAT IN 2025 WITH BAGNAIA AND MARQUEZ LEADING THE CHARGE
Retaining their manufacturers ’ crown and winning 19 of 20 Grands Prix , Ducati are unsurprisingly the brand to beat in 2025 ’ s MotoGP™ title race . However , the Italians lost the # 1 plate to show that their bike was the most successful in 2024 , with champion Jorge Martin taking it to Aprilia . Despite that , Ducati never rest on their laurels and with a powerhouse line-up of double MotoGP world champion Francesco ‘ Pecco ’ Bagnaia and six-time champ Marc Marquez , they will be hard to beat .
So , what ’ s new for 2025 ? Beyond the lineup , the Desmosedici GP25 is an evolution of the groundwork done previously and even back in the Barcelona post-season test in November , Bagnaia hailed the bike – then still in development – as a “ huge ” step forward . The 2025 chassis is an update of the previous bikes and has led to more stability in fast corners and improved the bike ’ s handling on used tyres . Gigi Dall ’ Igna has been quoted in the media saying the bike has small evolutions rather than the revolution of the step made from 2023 to 2024 . What ’ s clear is the manufacturer that took their 100th premier class win last year and possess a 25 % win rate from all starts will once again have a target on their back .
Besides the bike itself , there ’ s a change for the incoming Marc Marquez , who will work with a third different crew chief in as many seasons . Having been with Santi Hernandez from 2013 until his move out of Honda in 2023 , he worked and won with Frankie Carchedi in 2024 . Now in factory red , his right-hand man is Marco Rigamonti , who ’ s been in MotoGP since 2017 and worked with Enea Bastianini in 2024 .
