It’ s been quite the year for Johann Zarco. Even if it hasn’ t been the best in terms of results, the Frenchman’ s season was memorable for the scary crash he suffered at the Grand Prix of Catalunya in June when he seriously damaged his left knee.
Since then, the two-time MotoGP™ race winner has made an inspired comeback. Using the spell on the sidelines to spend time with family and fully recover, Zarco returned in Aragon reenergised and full of motivation to continue his good form from earlier in the year.
“ It was not so difficult( to spend time away from MotoGP™),” he said.“ The time always is passing very quick. I’ ve been enjoying having time. For 17 years I’ ve been racing and I never got a month at home with family since 2008. To just appreciate this moment was a pleasure.
“ After this month with my family, every day was focussing on training and rehabilitation. My mind was so busy I never had the time to say I’ m feeling bad, or I’ m missing my world. It was one thing in the mind, to get better and feel good. From that, I knew I’ d get better again.
