Most riders will arrive on Thursday, and it’ s media day. TV interviews for your home broadcasters and outlets around the world, a Press Conference and our special MotoGP programming all cover the latest breaking news and headlines from inside the paddock. Gearing up is the name of the game – and then it’ s go time.
FRIDAY
Friday is the day that you come through the gates and take your seats – or find the best place to watch from – as track action gets underway! For MotoGP, FP1 in the morning is a session to get familiarised with track conditions and see where the level is at. It’ s the same for Moto2 and Moto3, before the even more important stuff fires up in the afternoon.
For MotoGP, it’ s a 60-minute session to decide the top ten, of whom move through automatically to Q2 qualifying on Saturday morning. Those who don’ t make the cut get a second chance to move through in Q1, where the top two will join the already selected ten for the pole position shootout. So Practice is a big finish to Friday.
Moto2 and Moto3 follow the same format as MotoGP, with Friday afternoon’ s Practice session deciding the top 14 that are automatically in Q2. The rest are in Q1.
A maioria dos pilotos chega na quinta-feira, o dia reservado à imprensa. Entrevistas para televisões nacionais e internacionais, conferência de imprensa e programação especial de MotoGP™ cobrem todas as últimas notícias e destaques do paddock. É o momento de preparação – e depois começa a ação.
SEXTA-FEIRA
Na sexta-feira, é a sua vez de entrar pelos portões e escolher o melhor lugar para assistir, enquanto a ação em pista começa. Para a MotoGP™, o FP1 da manhã serve para os pilotos se adaptarem às condições da pista e avaliarem o nível de competitividade. O mesmo acontece com as categorias Moto2™ e Moto3™, antes de as sessões mais importantes começarem à tarde.
Na MotoGP™, há uma sessão de 60 minutos que decide os dez primeiros pilotos que passam automaticamente para a qualificação Q2, no sábado de manhã. Os que não conseguem entrar no top 10 têm uma segunda oportunidade na Q1, onde os dois mais rápidos se juntam aos dez já apurados para disputar a pole position. Por isso, o Treino de sexta-feira termina em grande.
As categorias Moto2™ e Moto3™ seguem o mesmo formato da MotoGP™, com o treino de sexta-feira à tarde a definir os 14 primeiros que passam automaticamente à Q2. Os restantes competem na Q1.
