DON ' T GUESS YOUR LIMIT. KNOW IT.
The world ' s first device that reads and communicates your tire grip in real time.
A new Italian innovation is changing the way motorcyclists approach safety and performance. Developed by Ellea Ingegneria through its motorsport division Ellea Racing, Quasar is the world’ s first device designed to read and communicate tyre grip in real time.
Created with expertise drawn from the aerospace sector, Quasar gives riders instant feedback on the maximum safe lean angle based on tyre temperature and grip conditions. The result is a riding experience built around awareness, confidence, and control. specification uses four IR sensors to monitor every tyre shoulder independently for maximum precision.
Unlike active rider aids, Quasar does not interfere with the motorcycle. Instead, it provides riders with the information needed to make better decisions and reduce the risk of losing grip because of cold tyres or excessive lean angles.
“ Safety should not be a luxury,” says Alfredo Labianca.“ With Quasar, we wanted to create an accessible product without compromising on quality or reliability.”

Using advanced TTPMS and infrared sensors developed by Ellea Racing, Quasar continuously analyses tyre pressure, internal air temperature, and surface temperature across the tyre shoulders. The onboard processor interprets the data and translates it into an intuitive colour-based system, giving riders a clear understanding of available grip in real time.
Quasar is designed for both road and track riders. Installation is simple thanks to universal motorcycle interfaces, and the system is available in three configurations. The Basic version delivers safe lean angle guidance through TTPMS data. The Advanced version adds infrared monitoring for greater accuracy. The Racing
Quasar also records telemetry from every session. Riders can review tyre behaviour, pressures, temperatures, and setup choices directly through the companion app. The upcoming PRO version will activate GPS lap timing and downloadable telemetry, while future video synchronisation tools are already in development.
The project recently received major recognition through a collaboration with Honda LCR, who named Ellea and Quasar official partners for the LCR Ride Experience programme. Lucio Cecchinello described Quasar as a product capable of improving both track performance and rider safety on the road.
