Raul Fernandez progressed rapidly through the junior ranks, moving from domestic competition into JuniorGP and the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. Strong results included multiple wins and podiums, followed by the JuniorGP title in 2018. Grand Prix outings that season produced points finishes and confirmed his readiness for full time competition. A permanent step into Moto3™ in 2019 brought steady top ten results, before a breakout 2020 campaign delivered pole positions, multiple podiums and three victories. A move to Moto2™ in 2021 produced one of the strongest rookie seasons on record. Eight wins placed Fernandez firmly in the title fight and secured second overall. Promotion to MotoGP™ followed in 2022 with Tech3 KTM, though results proved limited. A switch to Aprilia machinery brought gradual progress across 2023 and 2024. A landmark MotoGP™ victory in 2025 marked a turning point. Fernandez enters 2026 aiming to build sustained front running form.
Nel 2019 è in pianta stabile nel Mondiale Moto3™ e l’ anno successivo esplode: sul giro secco è uno dei migliori, vince due gare e ottiene altrettanti podi. Sale quindi in Moto2™, dove fa ancora meglio: otto le vittorie da esordiente, un numero che batte il precedente record di Marc Marquez. Si gioca il titolo ma non ci riesce, anche a causa di una caduta nel terzultimo round. Nel 2022 debutta in MotoGP™ con Tech3 KTM. Nel 2023 passa all’ Aprilia del team RNF e nella seconda metà della stagione mostra segnali incoraggianti. Nell’ ultimo round è quinto e nel 2024, con i colori Trackhouse Racing e sempre su una RS-GP, ha risultati altalenanti. Si riscatta nel 2025 quando vince a Phillip Island. Nel 2026 cercherà di ripetersi sul gradino più alto del podio.
