Even if his MotoGP™ title charge has just fallen short in recent months, it’ s still be a memorable season for Fabio Di Giannantonio. The Italian has been Ducati’ s most consistent performer over the 16 races to date, and is fighting for a best ever championship finish.
Now the Italian is looking ahead after adjusting to serious injury and personnel changes in 2024 and 2025, the Italian took full profit of a settled winter before launching a seriously competitive start to the year. He scored three Grand Prix podiums, including a heroic win in Barcelona, as well as five Sprint top threes in the opening 15 races to sit on the edge of the title fight.
“ At the end we are doing an amazing season,” he said.“ A lot of podiums, between Sprint races, a lot of good results. The speed is always there, that ' s the most important thing. It ' s not just a spark, it ' s every track that we go we are performing well. So if you see this big picture, I think we are doing an amazing season.
“ I ' m enjoying a lot every moment and in the last races I was also saying, " Wow, what a season!" We are enjoying it so much in the garage, so I see many many positives.”
Last year‘ Diggia’ often complained of a lack of consistency with his package, which led to a series of up and down results, sometimes in the same weekend. But this year’ s package has been easier to understand.
