MotoE started as a Cup with mostly single-race rounds, and now it’ s grown into a World Championship comprising solely double headers – seven of them in 2025. It’ s now with Ducati machinery too, with the V21L breaking records when it debuted as the bike for everyone on the MotoE grid in 2023. As from its inception in 2019, MotoE races on Michelin rubber with an impressive amount of recycled and sustainable materials in them. The combination makes some of the most spectacular racing action of a Grand Prix weekend.
Proving how close the competition really is – and at times, how unpredictable – the 2024 season saw the title fight go right the way down to the final round, the sixth straight time MotoE™ has delivered such a conclusion. So the pressure is on for 2025 to deliver even more.
De Tissot Sprint is niet de enige race waarvan fans kunnen genieten op een zaterdag. Bij zeven Europese grand prixs in 2025 krijgen fans op de tribunes en kijkers over de hele wereld de kans om niet één, maar twee races voor het MotoE™-wereldkampioenschap te zien.
MotoE ging van start als een bekerkampioenschap met meestal rondes die uit één race bestonden en is nu uitgegroeid tot een wereldkampioenschap dat louter uit dubbele races bestaat, zeven stuks in 2025. Er wordt nu ook geracet met Ducati-machines. Bij het debuut van de V21L als de motor voor iedereen op de MotoE-grid in 2023 werd record na record gebroken. Vanaf het begin in 2019 racet MotoE op Michelin-banden waarin een indrukwekkende hoeveelheid gerecyclede en hernieuwbare materialen zijn verwerkt. De combinatie zorgt vaak voor de meest spectaculaire raceactie van een Grand Prix-weekend.
In 2024 ging het titelgevecht door tot in de laatste ronde, de zesde keer op rij dat MotoE™ op deze manier het seizoen afsloot. Dit bewijst hoe hevig de concurrentie is en hoe onvoorspelbaar soms de strijd. De verwachtingen voor 2025 zijn dus hooggespannen.
