THE FOOTAGE
CINEMATOGRAPHY IS THE ART OF USING A COMBINATION OF AUDIO/MUSIC AND VIDEO TO TELL A STORY
This is very different to videographers who simply record an event from beginning to end in a very editorial way. Cinematographers do not record an event beginning to end. Cinema captures much smaller clips. These include special and precious moments; the sights and sounds that show your personalities and tell the story of your wedding day. Most often, we film these clips with different and unique angles, using movement for drama and are able to switch out the camera lens to enhance the feelings for each situation and moment.
Quite often there are two or three cameras doing the main artistic work. Multiple cameras allow us to capture the main event as well as reactions of the guests, different angles and other things that are happening at the same time: all of which add to the
story. The most important part is that you can watch the special moments again and again. Moments like how her mother cried when the brides father walked her down the aisle. Normally the bride is too busy looking at the groom to even notice!
Because of the artistic nature of our product, not every second of each and every event is covered. We get as much as we need to make an artfully beautiful video but not so much as to bore you. Please let us know BEFORE YOUR WEDDING if you would like start to finish uncut footage which can be added to any package for fee. This entails an additional camera so we must know prior to the event as footage can not be captured after the fact.
