The Perfect Picture
Before taking the photography class in Orvieto, I erased countless photos because the lighting was not right or the angle was off. I did not realize that my iPhone had fantastic editing tools that both enhance and salvage photos. Little edits, such as increasing the brightness or decreasing shadows can drastically alter the quality of a photo. Below are some simple editing techniques that turn an ok photo into a great one.
Example 1:
This photo did not require much editing. First, I increased the shadows, in order to accentuate the city lights. Then I increased the contrast, warmth, and color to enhance the colors of the city and the sunset. Lastly, I lowered the brightness and brilliance to bring the patterns of the tower into focus more.
Example 2:
For this photo, I wanted to brighten the colors and make the photo appear to be from a high definition camera. To do this I increased the brilliance, the exposure, the brightness, and the contrast which both lightened the photo and shows the details of the leaves. Lastly, I increased the highlight and color slightly in order enhance to the color scheme of the photo.
