Morrison County Fair, a fun annual tradition

Visitors to the annual Morrison County Fair in Little Falls can look forward to another year of music, food, fun, competitions and more, Thursday- Saturday, June 26-29.
The Fair will feature the Gopher State Carnival with unlimited rides for $ 30 per sesssion, which run from noon to 5 p. m. and 5 p. m. to 10 p. m. As always, there will be plenty of food on the grounds and in the 4-H Food Building.
Thursday’ s morning will begin with the dairy goat show at 8 a. m. with the open dairy goat show to follow. The 4-H poultry show will be held at 11 a. m.
Then, at noon on Thursday, the fair opens with the carnival and exhibits from the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, the Morrison County Historical Society, the Minnesota Chapter of National Wild Turkey Federation Shoot and the antique tractor display by the Greater Minnesota Two-Cylinder Club.
Visitors to the Fair will have the opportunity to watch the Just 4 Laughs Comedy Show and The Amzing Charles Magic Show at various times daily. Sue’ s Country Sunshine Band and Variety Show will perform from 4 p. m. to 7 p. m. at the Beer Garden Stage.
Other activities on Thursday include the 4-H rabbit show at 4 p. m.; bingo from 6 p. m. to 10 p. m.; tractor pull competition at 6:30 p. m.; the Morrison County animal dress up contest at 8 p. m.( livestock arena) and from 7 p. m. to 11 p. m., open mic night at the Beer Garden Stage,
Friday’ s busy schedule begins with a 4-H llama and alpaca show( horse arena) at 8:30 a. m. and the 4-H sheep and meat goat show at 10 a. m.
With the Fair opening at noon, visitors will have the chance to enjoy CMA minnow races from noon to 8 p. m., Dinosaur Dimensions at noon, 2:30 p. m., 5 p. m. and 7 p. m. The“ Smear” card tournament will kickoff at 12:30 p. m. in the Exhibit Building, with bingo from 1 p. m. to 10 p. m.
Friday’ s music will be provided by Revolution 5 from 1 p. m. to 4 p. m.
Other fun activities on Friday include the Lone Eagles Antique Auto Show from 2 p. m. to 7 p. m.; a 4-H beef and swine show at 3 p. m.; Fun Night at the Horse Arena and motorcross racing, both events at 6 p. m.; and Skitzo Fonik performing at the Beer Garden Stage from 7:30 p. m. to 11:30 p. m.
Featuring woodfire pizza, entrees, pasta & appetizers. Full bar offering wine, beer & cocktails.
Saturday offers another fun day at the Fair. While the 4-H and open class dairy cattle show will begin at 9 a. m., the Fair opens at noon. The CMA Minnow Races will be held at noon, as well.
Other activities at the Fair on Saturday include a“ 500” card tournament at 12:30 p. m., bingo from 1 p. m. to 10 p. m. and the Silver Sound performing at the Beer Garden Stage from 2 p. m. to 5 p. m.
In addition, this year’ s Century Farm recipients will be recognized at 2:45 p. m.. The Blue Ribbon 4-H auction will be held at 3 p. m., the 4-H premier showmanship at 6 p. m. and the gates opening at 6:30 p. m. for the performance of the rock tribute band, Hairball.
Music will be provided by The Kezars from 12:45 p. m. to 5 p. m. and 5 Minute Major from 8 p. m. to 11:30 p. m.
There will also be a variety of indoor and outdoor vendors, the Farmer’ s Market and more on site.
