2015 North American International Auto Show It was close to 7 P.M. one night. I was riding home from a school event with my mother, and somehow, our conversation changed to something related to cars. From there, I brought up how someday, I would like to go to the Detroit Auto Show. Randomly, she says, “We could probably go this weekend.” At that point, I got excited. Luckily, the coming weekend was a three day weekend, so a trip to Detroit was able to fit in. 48 hours later, we started packing to leave on a Saturday morning. Other than typical clothing, I came nicely prepared with both a DSLR and a camcorder borrowed from school. And at 9 A.M. on Saturday, January 18, 2015, we finally left. The road trip itself wasn’t too bad. Unfortunately, to save mileage on the family cars, we had to rent a Toyota Camry SE. Just like an Avalon rented over a year ago, the Camry had a few gripes, such as a rear bench that was as comfortable as hardcore-racing Recaro’s. What’s more, the interior was rather noisy on the highway at high speeds. However, it was not all doom and gloom for the Camry. With the two family vehicles, the observed MPG under our not-too-light feet is around 17-18 MPG, and our highway MPG not being much better. In the Camry, we got much
