And in that moment, I start thinking maybe it’s too soon to walk away. Here was a perfect example of patience right in front of me. I hadn’t been willing to wait for the miracle of love. It took remembering the Peanuts gang, in particular Linus’ perspective. How often do have you started to walk away from something believing it t be a lost cause? Maybe you thought you’d messed something up – it was too good to be true and just a matter of time before things started to fall apart. Or maybe it was because you didn’t feel up to the task. No matter what the reason, oftentimes, we tend to walk way right before the miracle happens. Maybe it’s time we start acting as our own Peanuts Gang – gathering around and pouring out love directed at our higher selves as we wait for the amazing transformation to take place. Believing in ourselves. I believe! I believe! And so, the little tree is still sits on my balcony. The needles are still brown and fragile. The way I feel some days. But I'm not ready to toss it. Now I talk to the tree, "Hang in there. I love you." That's what the holidays are all about....being and celebrating Linus, Charlie Brown and the rest of the gang.
