Le 4 septembre 2013, exactement 455 jours après avoir reçu un diagnostic de cancer du sein
de stade III, Judy Martin fut la première patiente à sonner la cloche. Et Le fonds « La cloche »
était né. La cloche fut ensuite déplacée au nouveau Centre du cancer des Cèdres sur le site
Glen du Centre universitaire de santé McGill, et la tradition est encore bien vivante, tout
comme Judy Martin.
Aujourd’hui, la mission du fonds « La cloche » en partenariat avec la Fondation du Cancer

change that. So she bought a ship’s bell
and had it engraved with “Lucky. Grateful. Hopeful.”

after being diagnosed with stage-3 breast
cancer, Judy Martin became the first pa-
tient to ring the bell. And the Bell Fund
was born. The bell was moved to the new
Cedars Cancer Centre at the MUHC’s Glen
site, and the tradition is alive and well, just
like Judy Martin.

de cancer. Chaque trousse renferme une couverture, une bouteille d’eau réutilisable, un blocnotes et un stylo, des bonbons à la menthe, un exemplaire de ce magazine et une note anonyme de prompt rétablissement de la part d’un enfant qui envoie
