Chris Pasch, B.A., Archaeologist, Crew Chief
Chris received his B.A. in History and English Literature from
St. Mary's College of Maryland in 2013, and is currently working
on an M.A. in Historical Archaeology through the University of
Leicester. His primary research interests include the study of
identity (particularly gender) and the relationship of memory with
material culture and place. He is passionate about ceramic
history, architecture, the use of technology and social media in
archaeology, and theory/historiography.
Stephen Nash, Salvagewrights Crew Member
Stephen is originally from Madison, Virginia. He attended
Christopher Newport University where he earned a degree in
history, and has been with Salvagewrights since 2005. Stephen is
married to Craig’s daughter, and they have two daughters
together. In his spare time, he enjoys building things and
spending time with his family.
Martin Agee, Salvagewrights Crew Member
Martin is a Louisa County native, and he is married with two
high school-age kids. He earned his Bachlor of Science in
forestry from Virginia Tech. Martin swings a precision broad axe
and is happiest when he is grouse hunting behind his prized
English setter, Jenny. Martin lives in a log house he hand crafted.
Barry Jacobs, Salvagewrights Crew Member
Barry was born and raised in Orange, Virginia. He is a retired
electrical supervisor, and he is married to his high school
sweetheart. They have two grown children and two grandsons.
Barry lives at his grandmother’s homeplace, called “Hillary,” ca.
1865. He enjoys hunting, fishing, the
outdoors, and camping.
