301 to graduate from Monticello High School in 2023
On Friday , June 2nd , Monticello High School ’ s 136th graduating class of 301 students will earn diplomas to join more than 13,882 alumni who have participated in MHS ’ s traditional commencement ceremony .
On May 17th at 7:00 p . m . MHS hosted the Senior Awards Program . A series of student scholarships were announced and Chamber of Commerce Awards were presented which covered various academic achievements . The Baccalaureate Program will be held in the MHS Performing Arts Center on Wednesday , May 31st at which starts at 7:00 p . m . Graduation Day kicks off with rehearsal at 10:00 a . m . Later that evening , students and advisors will gather at 6:15 p . m . for the commencement ceremony , which begins at 7:00 p . m . at the High School Stadium .
The top twelve students in this class ; MHS Valedictorians : Sydney Brandt , Eleanor Cummings , Elise Erickson , Atira Grose , Sophia Haase , Thor Lemke , Evelyn Moorhouse , Elizabeth
Sigler , Mason Smith , Rocco Vasoli , Mackenzie Wipper , and Brooke Ylitalo will have the honor of addressing their classmates , staff , and parents .
Junior Honor Guard members are 11th grade students who currently have a 4.0 GPA . They are : Allison Beilke , Michaella Burmis , Dallas Christensen , Gabriella Cruz-Longley , Keegan Ellis , Christopher Falk , Paul Fasen , Rylan Feierabend , Sydney Fuller , Jack Geislinger , Erin Gilbertson , Adrienne Hansen , Dylan Kaster , Makenna Lutes , Lauren Moorhouse , Ava Nebben , Natalie Nemeth , Evan Raske , Dinah Schaffer , Gina Schaffer , Braeden Schmidt , Gunnar Simon , Emelia Skistad , Nicholas Thovson , Bella Vasoli , and Reagan Wahnschaffe . The Junior Honor Guard helps facilitate the Graduation ceremony .
The senior class will then head to the Monticello Middle School to celebrate with the Chemical Free , All- Night Graduation Party which is sponsored by parents and a number of amazing community businesses .
